Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its collaborative team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in providing day-to-day accounting services including preparation of account analysis, budgeting and forecasting, contribution reporting, weekly, monthly, and quarterly metric reporting, and assistance with compiling operational financial reports. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved in special project requests that support operational success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares assigned weekly, monthly and quarterly analyses, with a specific focus on contribution reporting, chargeability, billability and revenue/billing analysis;
  • Prepares various schedules and financial reports to support quarterly contribution reporting to shareholders, and for the compilation of annual budgets and projections of the balance sheet and income statement;
  • Prepares schedules for metric and key performance indicators to support annual compensation bonus reviews;
  • Assists with share/unit tracking;
  • Assists with the monthly cash reconciliation and compilation of the monthly financial packages, including the accrual income statement and key financial metrics;
  • Supports monthly and quarterly closes and financial reporting;
  • Responsible for supervising a small team of finance staff, which includes coaching, training and performance management, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement, and mentoring for professional growth; and
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA and/or MBA preferred;
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and/or accounting;
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel and proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint;
  • Experience in conducting relevant research online.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Understanding of accounting procedures and general knowledge of monthly accrual accounting close procedures and account reconciliation;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Sound judgment capability and ability to maintain confidentiality; and
  • Ability to multi-task.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. The estimated range for this role is: $110,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
