Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join its collaborative team in Parsiappny, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in leading accounting services including but not limited to oversight of journal entries, financial reporting and daily cash management. In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact special accounting projects that support firm leadership and drive operational success.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains the general ledger and promotes accounting practices in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles;
- Oversees and assists with the company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes, including monthly financial packages and compilation of quarterly contribution report;
- Leads the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets;
- Responsible for the management of the annual financial audit, working closely with external auditors to ensure that field work is completed and financial statements are finalized in a timely manner;
- Assists with managing the Payroll, General Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams;
- Coaches and supervises senior and staff accountants, including conducting performance review meetings, providing performance feedback and recommendations for improvement, and mentoring for professional growth;
- Provides support for the tracking of all company leases; and
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or MBA preferred;
- 10+ years’ experience in an accounting department with 3+ years in a management role;
- Expert knowledge of monthly accounting close procedures, financial reporting, compilation of budgets and internal controls;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Knowledge of Deltek Vision software and SAP preferred;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. The estimated range for this role is: $120,000 - $150,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
