Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join its collaborative team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in providing comprehensive human resource services, including full lifecycle recruitment activities, supporting employee lifecycle programs, general human resource programs, and policy and process execution. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a dynamic Human Resource team supporting a rapidly growing client group.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interface with office management to provide full lifecycle recruiting support consistent with business and office needs. Assist Talent Acquisition Team and management with the execution of the Summer Internship / Co-op program for regional office locations;
  • Generate new hire paperwork, as well as employee status change notifications; ensure efficient processing of transactions;
  • Conduct new hire orientation meetings for regional office locations, including overview of company policies and procedures, culture, core values, and benefit plans;
  • Administer the Onboarding program for your regional office locations. Conduct analyses of feedback from the Off-boarding program;
  • Collaborate with Senior Corporate HR Manager to provide services to local leadership regarding employee lifecycle programs and processes;
  • Interact with employees and management communicating Human Resource policies, programs, procedures, and government regulations. Collaborate with members of the Corporate Human Resources Department on projects, programs and day-to-day initiatives and activities;
  • Partner with HR Management and client management to identify and implement retention initiatives;
  • Assist with the annual review process for respective client groups;
  • Remain current on federal, state and local employment law; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; coursework relating to HR a plus;
  • 3+ years of human resource experience;
  • Experience with HRMS systems;
  • Experience with employment practices, recruitment and human resource policies and procedures;
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills and the discretion to maintain confidentiality at all times;
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively and efficiently;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and within groups.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. The estimated range for this role is: $85,000- $95,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
