Langan is seeking an Office Services Assistant to join its collaborative team in New York City! This individual will serve a key function in providing day-to-day office maintenance and general office support. In this role you will have the opportunity to partner closely with the Office Services team and office leadership to drive operational success. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Office Services Supervisor with all office services responsibilities and maintenance of facility;
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the office. Set up conference rooms for meetings and events. Straighten conference rooms following meetings, ensure reception area and lobby remain clean and tidy at all times, and ensure the overall office remains clean and tidy on a daily basis;
  • Assist with weekly inventory check for supply rooms and kitchens; order supplies when needed. Maintain logs and record information in Excel Spreadsheet;
  • Order food for meetings and events;
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of mail and equipment;
  • Receive deliveries from suppliers/vendors at freight elevator;
  • Alternate reception desk duties with other team members; and
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the Firm’s business and communications.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma;
  • Minimum of 2 years office services experience;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
  • Ability to work early mornings, late evenings and overtime;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Strong attention to detail; and
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. The estimated range for this role is: $22 - $28. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
