Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Human Resource Manager to join its collaborative team in New York City. This individual will serve a key function in providing comprehensive human resource (HR) services to regional offices, including staffing and retention, performance management, employee relations, training and development opportunities, and policy and procedure administration. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a national HR team and partner with a dynamic client group in leading HR initiatives that drive employee fulfillment.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide HR business partner services to leadership of 5 regional offices regarding employee lifecycle programs and processes;
- Collaborate with management on identifying effective recruitment and retention strategies;
- Perform full-cycle recruitment for technical and non-technical positions; understand staffing needs, develop job postings, source and interview candidates, provide selection recommendations, prepare and present offer letters;
- Partner with managers on employee relations matters, performance management and staff development;
- Administer onboarding and exit processes for respective office locations, track trends and make recommendations for change;
- Supervise HR team members including coaching, performance management, training and mentoring for career development;
- Assist the Chief Human Resource Officer with on-going projects and programs; and
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; coursework relating to HR or HR certification a plus;
- 10+ years of human resource experience;
- 5+ years of employee relations and full-cycle recruiting experience;
- Experience with coaching and guiding management;
- Familiarity with federal, state and local labor laws;
- Strong mentoring and managerial skills;
- Sound judgment capability and strategically oriented;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to motivate others and foster a positive environment;
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; HR database programs a plus; and
- Willingness and ability to travel to regional offices periodically.

Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. This position is also eligible to participate in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm.
