Langan is seeking a Geotechnical Field Technician to join its collaborative team in Miami, FL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform field work that supports the projects and business objectives of the Geotechnical discipline.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform earthwork monitoring and field density testing in accordance with project specifications;

• Prepare daily reports summarizing daily earthwork activities and field testing results;

• Download data from field instrumentation such as crack gauges, settlement plates, piezometers and monitoring wells;
• Ensure data sheets are accurate and up-to-date;
• Install and maintain seismograph vibration monitors and download data;
• Maintain field equipment; troubleshoot as necessary; and,
• Perform other duties as requested.

Job Requirements:

• NICET certifications and experience or Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology/Construction Management, or equivalent;
• Previous construction related experience;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred;
• Familiarity with AutoCAD; GiNT a plus;
• Ability to inspect troubleshoot defects in equipment or materials;
• Reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license in good standing;
• Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends; and,
• Candidates must be able to spend most of their working time in the field.
