Job Summary

 

Langan is seeking a Bid Specialist to join its collaborative team in London. Reporting to the Marketing Director based in New York, this role plays a key part in supporting the preparation of bids, tenders, qualifications, and presentations, as well as researching business development opportunities and providing marketing and event support. 

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of an international business development and marketing team, collaborating with colleagues across the firm and with external partners including architects, construction managers, developers, legal advisers, and other professional consultants to support the firm’s growth in the UK and internationally. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare, coordinate, and track bids, tenders, fee submissions, and related marketing materials from kick-off through to final submission; 
  • Draft, edit, and format written content, graphics, staff CVs, and project experience for use in bids and proposals; 
  • Maintain the firm’s photo library, including employee headshots and new photography requests; 
  • Support client presentations by producing PowerPoint presentations, organisation charts, and related materials;
  • Update, and maintain bid files, contact lists, databases, records, and other marketing documentation; 
  • Prepare and/or edit InDesign reports and marketing documents as required; 
  • Coordinate and support business development and marketing initiatives, including tracking opportunities and activity; 
  • Complete international and UK-based prequalification questionnaires; 
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and tracking of trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events; 
  • Attend networking and industry events on behalf of the firm, where appropriate; and 
  • Undertake other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the business. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline; 
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a marketing or bid-focused role within the real estate, architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) sector;
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Photoshop; 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading ability; 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment; 
  • High level of attention to detail, with strong organisational and analytical skills; and 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, including with international stakeholders.
